Industry, oil and gas
Through our partner Multiconsult, at NORPLAN we have extensive experience from the oil and gas industry, working both onshore and offshore, and on upstream to downstream projects. Our expertise has been developed in close cooperation with Norwegian and international oil and gas industry and the general supply industry.
In addition, we provide services to a wide range of industries including petrochemical plants, aluminium smelters, the paper and fertilizer industries and waste handling operations.
Our broad range of services covers all aspects of a project, including design and engineering technology, health and safety, project management and financial planning.
Onshore services
Over the past 30 years, we have been involved in the development of all of the onshore oil and gas terminals and plants in Norway, including the LNG plant for the Snøhvit field and the gas receiving facility for the Ormen Lange field. Our activities include site surveys, design development and supervising engineering and construction for oil companies and the supply industry.
Our unique experience is much appreciated internationally. It has resulted in our current major role in the development of an onshore plant for one of the world`s largest offshore gas fields: the Shtokman project in the Russian Barents Sea.
We offer services for landfalls, pipelines, terminals, processing plants, utility systems, storage and export facilities, and cover the entire values chain from new projects to the refurbishment of older systems.
Offshore services
We have more than 40 years’ experience in developing and engineering offshore structures for the oil and gas industry, for both fixed and floating structures. Today, we design and engineer concrete substructures and selected steel and aluminium topside structures. In addition, we offer marine foundation design services worldwide.
We provide services for subsea foundations, semisubmersible rigs, marine concrete structures, steel structures, steel modules, living quarters and dry docks for marine Gravity Based Structures.
We have been involved in the design of all of the concrete platforms delivered by Aker Solutions since 1990 using our own in-house design software.
