Values

NORPLAN is known for its high business, moral and ethical standards. Our ethical values are an integral part of all our activities. We believe in acting ethically and responsibly in our projects, and strive for our business and conduct to be as sustainable as possible.

We demand high ethical standards from all our employees and everyone who acts on our behalf, and encourage a continuous dialogue on ethical issues, both internally and externally. We also expect our business partners to have ethical standards comparable to our own ones.

A firm commitment to integrity and sustainable development is expressed in our code of conduct and our corporate social responsibility principles.

Our values are at the core of our management system. They inspire us to be better, drive our performance and guide us in how we do business and how we work together.

Community and Dialogue
NORPLAN seeks to make a positive contribution to the wellbeing of our staff, the environment, local communities and markets in which we operate. We work closely with local communities, and aim for positive and constructive dialogue with stakeholders and authorities.

On most assignments, NORPLAN works in association with local consulting companies. The organisational models vary according to the clients` needs and the nature of the projects, but the cooperation provides a permanent local presence representing local professional skills and knowledge that add value to the services. We also seek to contribute to local capacity building and technology transfer whenever possible.

Combating Corruption
Corruption undermines democracy and stifles sustainable growth. NORPLAN takes a clear stand against corruption and promotes a working environment in which all aspects of our business are conducted with integrity both nationally and internationally.

Independence
We have no vested interests in manufacturing or contracting, and are a qualified member of the Association of Consulting Engineers, Norway (RIF) and the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). Our impartiality is of vital importance to us, and guarantees our clients independent and neutral professional advice.

Health and Safety
Health and safety is fundamental to everyday life, especially in the workplace. As consulting engineers and planners it is essential to have a good health and safety management system in place. With the active support of our employees and a strong relationship with our clients, we have created a good health and safety culture within the company, and promote health and safety at a high level in all our projects.

Quality Assurance
NORPLAN’s QA-system is an integrated part of our business and project management. The purpose of organising our work by using a quality assurance system is to avoid failures in the execution of our planning and design, and to increase our ability to deliver the desired quality.
